In 2025, The Take Steps Youth Leadership Committee Members have raised a total of $13,764
 for both the Orange County and Los Angeles Take Steps events!

Advocacy & Community Outreach

Take Steps Youth Leadership Committee Founder and President Simran Vaswani, along with committee member Alexa Lyncheski, were invited by Yorba Linda City Councilman Shivinder Singh to give a presentation on IBD advocacy and share their personal stories with IBD at the Yorba Linda City Council meeting.

The Take Steps Youth Leadership Committee being formally acknowledged by the Yorba Linda City Council with the approval of the proclamation proclaiming May 19th to be recognized as "IBD Day".
